Understand which valve actually controls the water
A seized under-sink valve is not the same job as a main stopcock at the incoming supply. Some valves isolate a single tap or toilet, while others shut off a whole dwelling, a block of flats or an irrigation branch. We identify what the valve controls, whether it leaks only when operated and whether it can be turned at all. Incorrectly assuming a shared valve belongs to one unit can leave neighbours without water or damage fittings downstream.
