Match the power circuit to the selected heat pump
A heat pump’s electrical input differs from the thermal output printed in marketing material. The nameplate, starting characteristics and any supplementary heater must be understood before choosing cable and protective devices. We ask for the exact model and whether it is replacing a standard geyser element or working alongside existing hot-water storage. Guessing a circuit size from the cylinder litres or choosing a plug because the unit looks small can lead to unsuitable protection and unreliable operation.
