Choosing the right outside water point
A hose bib on an accessible wall is suitable for many gardens; an isolated courtyard or large property may benefit from a differently placed water point. We assess hose reach, likely use, pedestrian access and whether the position risks damaging paving or finishes. Outdoor taps should be convenient without placing unprotected plumbing where it is easily knocked.
When extending pipework, we identify a suitable connection point and the effect on existing fixtures. Long, narrow runs can reduce useful flow. We explain whether surface routing, protected pipework or a properly planned buried route is appropriate for the property.
