Start with the user and the room, not a catalogue
An accessible bathroom must work for the person using it. Transfer space, seated reach, assisted use and the likely need for a walking aid affect the position of toilets, basins and mixers. A fashionable wall-hung basin is not automatically suitable if its trap blocks knee clearance. We ask what the user finds difficult now and whether an occupational therapist or accessibility designer has supplied measurements. This prevents costly installations that technically work but remain hard to use.
