Sudden temperature changes and poor shower pressure
A shower that swings between hot and cold may be affected by mixer cartridge operation, mismatched hot and cold pressures or fluctuating supply from the geyser or pump. If kitchen and basin outlets work normally while the shower fails, attention can focus on the shower valve and branch pipework.
We establish whether the problem appeared suddenly, affects every shower or began after plumbing alterations. Where a pressure-balancing or thermostatic mixer is fitted, its internal components and compatibility matter; fitting an ordinary cartridge may not address the underlying control problem.
