Leaks beneath the sink and inside the cabinet
Water pooling at the back of a kitchen unit can originate at a mixer flexi hose, angle valve, sink basket strainer, trap, dishwasher inlet or waste spigot. The position where water appears is not always the failed connection. We inspect the joints and observe when the leak occurs: with the tap running, while the sink drains or when an appliance pumps out.
A waste joint may look dry while the sink is idle and release water only during a large discharge. That difference matters when diagnosing intermittent cabinet dampness. We also check whether the waste pipe has adequate support and whether flexible connections are kinked or under strain.
